Hello from MN. I've got a couple of half-baked post ideas mixed together here for your viewing enjoyment!
This is the nice skyline view from Prospect Park. After the park I rode over to the Franklin Avenue bridge.
Also while riding around this fall I caught a few bike mural pictures at current/former bike shops: This is Freewheel Bike on the West Bank.
And Sunrise Cyclery on the Greenway.
And The Alt
Penn Cycle on Lake Street with a nice Pee-Wee Herman homage
And the CRC Coffee Bar (RIP)
Next post will show my winter season bike conversion and maybe some snow-- stay tuned!

Sporting those popular new Velo Orange Klunker Bars...
And a selection of baggage from Swift, RAL Life and Blue Lug...
The hardware is a mix of Paul, Shimano, Chris King and Race Face...
With those MKS Lambda pedals...

Kenji-san, owner of the Crazy Sheep brand also owns the super cool Ballooner brand. The whole ethos of Ballooner is a modern take on old school mountain bikes, think Repack and plaid rather than full face and droppers. Last weekend Velo Life Unpeu in Osaka hosted a Ballooner and Crazy Sheep demo bike day where Kenji was showing off some of his stable. His personal bike is the coolest bike you will ever see*...
A mix of old and new, rusted motorbike handlebars (a homage to the pioneers of mountain biking) on a Chris King headset and the bike rolls on 27.5 Maxxis tyres...
White Industries cranks with a battered Shimano Claris mech. No drop stop or clutch mechs here, the bike is built to be shredded...
A well worn in and never maintained Brooks saddle...
And those S and S couplers make sense because Kenji travels with this bike...
Follow Kenji and Ballooner on Instagram to see more of their builds and adventures.
