Just A Ride...
A relatively rain free day offered a chance for a brief afternoon ride yesterday on Mt Wakakusa...
We caught sight of one other cyclist making his way back down to town...
Then, somewhat expectedly, it rained. We took shelter at one of our favorite spots...
And messed around with some double exposure photography as the rain came down...
We are praying on the damn rain clearing before next weekend's Fixed Bike Festival in Osaka, fingers crossed for that!

We have been having some crappy, rainy weather here recently meaning not many chances get outand ride. That also means a bit of a drought in original content to post, so here's a few shots of some of the bikes that were parked outside the Handbuilt Bicycle Meeting in Kyoto last month...

Cruiser Madness
Last Saturday, while out in a rainy Osaka we seemed to pass an extraordinary number of BMX cruisers. First up this cool and well loved Brooklyn Machine Works park bike...
A little weather beaten maybe, but still rocking some pretty decent BMW parts...
Shackled up next to that was this little Durcus One...
And in keeping with the theme, this Haro Pro 24" was locked up just down the road...

Mr.F's BROOKLYN MACHINE WORKS TOUR BORO
We are so in love with this BMW build showcased over on the W-Base bike check page. At first it just looks like a usual, ultra cool W-Base single speed build up but this baby has a Shimano Alfine 11 speed rear hub! A perfect little cruising machine. Want!!

We dropped into the Osaka branch of Tokyo Wheels last weekend...
A superb "cyclist's closet" stocking a wide range of bicycle related clothing, shoes and bags...
They even have their own brand of cycling clothing...
Camo's not dead...
