Night Ride To Koriyama Castle
A short night ride with the Guell crew last night down to Koriyama Castle...
The original plan was to go and see the sakura illuminations but with all the recent rain that has hit Nara there really isn't that much sakura left. Instead it was just a chance for a few shots around the castle...
Koriyama is famous for koi goldfish so naturally there were some prime specimens on display at the castle...
Then it was time to hit the road back to Nara city...
Cheers to Toshio-san and the Guell crew, hopefully this damn rain will pass soon and we might, just might get a few decent sakura photos. We'll leave you with a final fish shot, the look on this little guy's face basically sums up how we feel about the current weather...

New Look Gira Gira Chariya
When Gira Gira opened their coffee shop last year they moved a lot of stock from the main store to the new coffee shop. The main shop got a bit of a makeover, leaving space to showcase their wealth of track bikes, frames and parts. We dropped in last week and Rene was kind enough to let us take a stack of photos...
Hanging in the window is a very rare, beautiful Hechins track frame, just waiting to be built up...
Above that a Samson...
Naturally, there is some pretty nice Nagasawa kit on display around the store...
Hanging from the ceiling are all the tempting frames. So many beautiful frames...
It's not all track action though, there is some seriously cool vintage BMX kit on show too...
And then there are the parts. So many lovely parts...
Just a stunning shop, possibly the best fixed gear shop in Japan, maybe even the world! If Gira Gira before was fixie heaven then now it is NJS paradise! You can follow the shop on their Facebook page and international mail order is available through their Track Supermarket website.

Kyoto Cruising
A few snaps taken on Saturday afternoon while cruising around Kyoto...
Unlike most people, we weren't just there for the blossoms. We dropped into three bike shops, the superb Blanky Dog Bikes, the new look Kon's and Loro Recumbents. We'll post all the pictures from the shops up here soon.
