Forever Bicycles

Not strictly Kinki or Japanese related I know, but these photos are of the "Forever Bicycles" exhibit from the exhibition "Absent" by Ai Weiwei that was held at the Museum Of Fine Arts in Taipei, Taiwan in 2011.

Thousands of bicycles connected via the seat tubes, head tubes and the axles.

The smell from the rubber tyres was so overpowering that there were signs advising visitors that it "was not toxic".

Photos were not allowed in the exhibition so I had to be quick, hence my finger in this shot!

Welcome

Hello, good evening and welcome... to our new blog.

It's a well known fact that the west of Japan is where Japan's funniest comedians come from.
Typical Kansai Funnyman.
The people in the west of the country are known to be more friendly, more laid back and less stressed out than their fellow countrymen in the east of Japan.

Typical Tokyo Funnyman
With that, somewhat stereotypical viewpoint in mind we aim to bring you some of the coolest bikes and shops and everything else cycling related from Kinki, Japan.

We hope you enjoy what you find here.
