We spent Sunday afternoon in Kyoto. Our aim was to visit
Cycle Shop Eirin's flagship Marutamachi store. Unfortunately the store was closed yesterday, they were
busy riding around our hometown of Nara. Oh the irony, etc. Well we didn't have an entirely wasted journey as Kyoto always offers up some great photo opportunities so we took a ride around town snapping the interesting things we passed...

We chanced past another closed bike shop on our travels, Tsujimori Jitensha Shokai, but still found a few things of interest to photo...

Obviously Kyoto is famous for it's numerous temples and shrines, it seems that everytime you turn a corner you find one. We stopped off to get a few shots of the

As we journeyed through town we passed a curious brickwork
Meiji era building undergoing renovation. A few hours work by our team of researchers reveals it was once a
clockmakers shop. More details on the building can be found

We did find a couple of bike shops that were open including the wonderful
Kon's Cycle, more details and lots of pictures from there will be posted here later in the week.
