Custom Hutch 24" BMX @ Giracha

A few quick shots beautiful vintage Hutch BMX cruiser that was in for a bit of work at Giracha last month...

A typical Giracha build using a mix of old and new parts with original Hutch bars...

And a Paul dual lever...

And a serious bit of custom hub action. Giracha's genius mechanic Tsutsumi had re-spaced a Phil Wood track hub...

Cinelli saddle on a layback...

Saitama Cycle Expo 2015

Our good buddy and east Japan correspondent Hiroshi sent over a stack of great photos from last weekend's Saitama Cycle Expo. The event incorporated the Mini Love Festa, a celebration of all things mini-velo and folding related so there were plenty on display...

It wasn't all 20 inchers though, the roadies were well catered for. Anchor had a huge display...

And plenty of other carbon speed machines on show too...

All aspects covered from funky beach cruisers...

To the latest high tech mama-chari bikes...

Lots opportunities to try things out...

Or get advice from the professionals...

Our personal favorite bike is this carbon Koga Snow Champ drop bar fatbike that just looks like a ton of fun...

A very big thank you to Hiroshi for sharing these photos.

Cruiser Madness

Last Saturday, while out in a rainy Osaka we seemed to pass an extraordinary number of BMX cruisers. First up this cool and well loved Brooklyn Machine Works park bike...

A little weather beaten maybe, but still rocking some pretty decent BMW parts...

Shackled up next to that was this little Durcus One...

And in keeping with the theme, this Haro Pro 24" was locked up just down the road...

You can see much more of this kind of thing over on the brilliant Cruiser Revolution site.

Korean Cruiser

Spotted by Brad one night out in Shinomiya, Nara, this funky little cruiser bike...

A little bit of research by Brad found that this is actually a Korean made bicycle, for reasons we won't even try to go into here we don't see many Korean bicycles in Japan so this is a bit of a rarity round these parts...

Cheers to Brad for sharing these photos.
