Noridaore 5 The "Action" Shots

Some of the better "action" shots we took at the Noridaore in Osaka last weekend...

As there will be videos of the day's action coming out we won't spoil things by revealing who won what. Let's just say that these guys were riding damn hard on the day so the videos will be killer, we'll have them posted here as and when.

We were out in Osaka this afternoon to catch the finals of the fifth Osaka Fixed Bike Festival, we've got a shed load of photos to go through and delete edit but here's a few shots of the action...

We will post lots more photos next week once we have gone through sorted the wheat from the chaff.

Tenri BMX Showcase

Last Saturday we cycled down to Tenri to watch Susumu of the Guell crew in their BMX Showcase...

Susumu in action.
Joining him was Murasaki Sports and Ares Bikes pro flatland rider Yosuke Uno...

Yosuke Uno (York75)

After an initial BMX display the guys gave out some complimentary BMX DVD's and were swamped by their army of fans!...

...In scenes reminiscent of Beatlemania they were overwhelmed as they took time to sign autographs for people...

After that there was time to try a few new sports...

...And teach the local kids the tricks of their trade...

All the while displaying some amazing flatland skills...

A really fun day where the riders seemed to enjoy themselves, taking time out from their busy schedules which will see them in both Tokyo next Saturday for round three the King Of Ground competition and Osaka on Sunday for the Flatland Battle  at Cycle Mode 2013. Arigato to Susumu-san and Yosuke-san and best of luck next weekend!

Osaka Noridaore Vol 4

After Saturday's exertions we enjoyed a chilled out Sunday at the 4th Osaka Fixed Bike Festival yesterday....

Some serious skills on display early in the afternoon as the riders made the most of the open space at Namba River Place...

The laidback contest was sponsored by some big names including Stussy, Leader Bike, the Clan BMX Store and the 8to8 guys...

Amongst all the thrills there were the inevitable spills, very cooly handled by the competitors...

A relaxing afternoon for the spectators enjoying the autumn sunshine...

It wasn't all about fakies and foot straps, there were many BMX riders out too...

The day saw the invention of a new trick, possibly the world's first sprocket stall footplant fist-bump!...

The Namba Hatch venue filled up with spectators as the day went on...

...All coming down to see some seriously impressive riding...

As the daylight faded and the competitions drew to a close the course was opened up for a jam session where riders of all types showed off their mad skills, fixed gear freestyle, BMX,..

...And even Trials riders were out there riding hard...

A great day with some supreme riding and skill on display. We took quite a few photos while we were there and will post more here once we have gone through and deleted the many, many blurred and out of focus shots! No doubt there will be some decent videos of the action put together by Ryo YokotaBob Woods already has many, excellent pictures up for view on his Flickr page.

We leave you with a panoramic shot of the jam session that ended the day...
