Cycle Shop Eirin Kyoto

Last week, while out in Kyoto we chanced upon the Marutamachi branch of Cycle Shop Eirin. One of a chain of stores situated around the city. Located over three floors the store is loaded with new and used bikes and frames that tend towards the road and cyclocross market...

Throughout the store there are interesting displays of curious and funky bicycles...

...Including this brilliant homage to The Who's Quadrophenia!

Bridgestone folder.
But it is the cyclocross and road bikes on display that really impress, the following are just a selection of what is for sale ...

Limited edition Colnago.
A Singular Cross bike.
Testach roadie.
A very desirable TNI Titanium cross bike.
Store original Royal Norton frame.

Also dotted around were some very nice Italian cross frames and bikes from Alan bikes...

As well as all that the shop also take orders for the much sought after, locally made Panasonic track and road bikes and has lots of Panasonic related kit on display...

A funky, friendly and very fun store holding some very unique and rare bikes. A must visit should you find yourself in Kyoto.
