Giracha Sunday Ride

Last Sunday we joined up with the Giracha crew for what was billed as a "Gentlemen and Ladies" Sunday morning ride. We donned our Sunday best and headed out into the beautiful early summer sunshine...

Everyone had made an effort to look smart, Sayaca as always looking effortlessly classy...

Fixed In Nara stylish as fuck and channeling his inner Robert Redford...

Tetsuya-san looking seriously sharp on his beautiful vintage Colnago...

Tsutsumi-san leading the way through the quiet Sunday morning Osaka streets...

Rene rolling on his stunning Nagasawa commuter...

We are traffic...

Loshin and Tsutsumi on point duty...

A Gentlemen and Ladies ride means obeying the laws and waiting patiently at every stop light...

But it's Japan so there will always be a random security guard to tell you off...

Early morning Nakanoshima park is just gorgeous...

Osaka's coolest couple...

Fixed in Nara is a bad influence on local legend Ian...

Just a perfect day...

The new cycling version of Goodfellas looks interesting....

Shooting me shooting you shooting me...

A really fun way to spend a morning. Huge thanks to Tsutsumi, Sayaca, Rene, Loshin, Romi, Ian, Tetsuya and, of course, Fixed in Nara.

Nakazaki Eights, Osaka

A trip to Osaka last Friday to visit the wonderful Nakazaki Eights store located just north of Umeda. A very cool and friendly shop set in an old converted town house...

Outside the shop are a few examples of their custom work on a couple of Cycroc mini-velos...

And a really nicely done porteur transformation on a Rockbikes Pride...

Inside there are more bikes on display, including another Cycroc mini...

Upstairs there is a tatami room being used as a showroom for the Rockbikes range...

And a parking space for shop manager Kazuki-san's ultra cool custom Rockbike...

All around the shop there are fun and funky displays of parts and accessories...

A really friendly, welcoming shop selling some cool kit and doing some interesting custom builds. Most definitely worth a visit for any cyclist who finds themselves in Osaka. You can follow Nakazaki Eights via their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.

Noontracks @ Pine Brooklyn

A run down of photos from last Sunday's Noontracks event held at Pine Brooklyn in Osaka...

A day of bikes & live music featuring some local bike shops and cycle companies with DJ's and bands performing throughout afternoon and evening...

Cycroc had some cool customs on show...

Saitama builder Corner Bikes brought some stunning creations...

Brotures had a few stealth looking Leader bikes on display...

Kuwahara had a fun display with some vintage BMX's...

Including the recently reissued Exhibitionism model...

It's Kuwahara, of course E.T was there...

Plus a gorgeous built up version of their Kikuichimonji MTB frame...

The Movement boys were there showing of some serious bike porn with their new Sauce range of beautiful custom built bikes...

Stylish cycling clothing from Deeper's Wear...

Outside in the bicycle parking some cool bikes were showing up too...

And to top it all off, free back issues of Cog Magazine....

A really fun day. Many thanks to Takashi-san, the Movement boys, Fixed-in-Nara and all the Noontracks & Pine Brooklyn crew. We'll have lots more photos from the day including tons of detailed bike pics posted here in the coming days and weeks.
