Cheeta MTB

Starting off the new year with a very nice custom Cheeta MTB spotted at last week's Xmas Cross in Ikoma...

Cheeta were a Californian brand making high end MTB's and BMX bikes that sadly went out of business some years ago so it was good to see a well kept Cheeta doing the rounds at a CX race...

Such a nice build with the XTR brakes, Shimano drive RockShox fork and those ever popular Fairweather XC tyres...

Xmas Cross, Ikoma

Some of the better pictures taken at last Wednesday's Xmas Cross cyclocross meeting up at the Kurondo Pond in Ikoma...

This was a stand alone event from the usual Kansai Cyclocross calendar and there was a party atmosphere with many of the riders choosing to race in fancy dress costumes. From the inspired...

And the seasonal...

To the downright disturbingly creepy...

Party on the stairs...

While other racers were taking things a little more seriously...

The legendary Dave Hama killin' it in his t-shirt and cut offs...

F-i-N finally understands the benefits of a fatter tyre as he tries out a beautiful demo Toyo MTB...

Even famous Nara shiba Chiyo-chan was enjoying the action...

A really fun day. A very big thank you to Mike for the lift, to Chiyo for the company and to Brad for the "cookies". Expect many more photos from the day to be posted here through the new year holiday.
